Residental Rug Cleaning
Carpet is made for convenience and comfort, whereas Area Rugs are for design and decoration. Just like The Dude said, "That rug really tied the room together."
There are many different types of rugs and each kind needs its own specific cleaning technique. Handmade Persian and Oriental rugs, for example, often are made with dyes that, if not cleaned properly, can bleed and will result in ruining the rug. We can't attack it straigth on with a full power washing and cleaning because of this reason, so we have to take our time and a much more careful light cleaning to preserve the color and quality of the rugs.
Also, most rugs are in fact handmade, and a harsh cleaning procedure can cause them to rip apart. A delicate yet heavy steaming is necessary. In this case, it's the extraction and drying in which more consideration and care is needed, so we make sure to not to tear and of the hand-woven fibers apart.
Other rugs such as shags and flucattis are very difficult to vacuum, allowing them to collect large amounts of dust, dirt and allergens. I'm not gonna lie, these are a pain to clean, especially if they're made of natural fibers. If these types of rugs are in pretty bad shape, it's best to let us bring them back to the warehouse so we can devote a lot of time and patience to them. Most other rugs can easily be cleaned in your home, though. (Hint: Since shags are difficult to vacuum, we recommend taking them outside occasionally with a partner and flipping the rugs upside down and simply shaking them like crazy! A lot of the loose dirt will fall right out!)
Our technicians are fully trained to properly steam clean all of your different types of area rugs. We can either do it in your home and take them back to the warehouse at no additional charge. You only pay for the cleaning, not our gasoline.
